About Tenergy 80
Butterfly published 80 as the geometry between 05 and 64. Combined figures sit there too: speed 93, spin 92, control 77 — a compromise, not a third personality.
It is the sheet players buy when 05 throws too high in their hall and 64 feels too flat. Same hardness, same Spring Sponge, different pimple spacing.
Do not treat 80 as a hardness step. For softer, use 80 FX or 05 FX. For stiffer, 05 Hard. Compare the three numbered sheets on the Tenergy series page.

Factory thicknesses
Factory sponge thicknesses sold in Europe: 1.8, 1.9, 2.0, 2.1, MAX. These are shopping facts — Combined speed / spin / control on this page do not change with thickness.

- 2.1
- MAX
- 1.8
- Thinner inverted sponge. Allround and first-upgrade backhands live here more often than attacking forehands.
- 1.9
- The usual club backhand thickness on inverted tensors. A bit more control, a bit less catapult than 2.1 / MAX.
- 2.0
- Mid-thick. Common on the backhand when MAX felt lively, or as a two-wing compromise.
- 2.1
- Still a thick attacking sponge. A small step down from MAX on some tensors — shops treat it as the other FH thickness, not a control sheet.
- MAX
- Thickest factory sponge. Most catapult on a tensor; the usual attacking forehand. Combined figures on this page are for the SKU, not a separate MAX score.
