About Tenergy 05 Hard

05 Hard is the same high-throw topsheet with a denser sponge. Combined speed ticks up, control ticks down, spin stays at 05 levels. Factory hardness is 43°.

It is not Dignics. Dignics 05 uses Spring Sponge X at 40°; this is still Tenergy Spring Sponge, just harder. Players who liked 05’s throw and wanted more stability on strong loops stay in-family here before paying for Dignics.

If you have not worn out a 36° 05, Hard is usually too much sponge. Backhand Hard is uncommon; this is a forehand or two-wing choice for advanced loopers.

Factory thicknesses

Factory sponge thicknesses sold in Europe: 1.8, 1.9, 2.0, 2.1, MAX. These are shopping facts — Combined speed / spin / control on this page do not change with thickness.

  • MAX
1.8
Thinner inverted sponge. Allround and first-upgrade backhands live here more often than attacking forehands.
1.9
The usual club backhand thickness on inverted tensors. A bit more control, a bit less catapult than 2.1 / MAX.
2.0
Mid-thick. Common on the backhand when MAX felt lively, or as a two-wing compromise.
2.1
Still a thick attacking sponge. A small step down from MAX on some tensors — shops treat it as the other FH thickness, not a control sheet.
MAX
Thickest factory sponge. Most catapult on a tensor; the usual attacking forehand. Combined figures on this page are for the SKU, not a separate MAX score.
