About Dignics 05
Dignics 05 is the numbered successor, not a different throw family. Butterfly kept the 05 pimple idea and changed the sponge to Spring Sponge X. Factory hardness 40° versus Tenergy 05’s 36°.
On the Combined index it sits with Tenergy 05 on spin and a point around it on speed. The felt difference is the amount of impact you need before the sponge opens, and a slightly more linear finish when you hit through.
Buy Dignics 05 if you want to stay in the 05 throw without jumping to the stickier 09C. Buy 09C if grip, not sponge density, is what you are missing. Street price is above Tenergy in EU shops.

Factory thicknesses
Factory sponge thicknesses sold in Europe: 1.8, 1.9, 2.0, 2.1, MAX. These are shopping facts — Combined speed / spin / control on this page do not change with thickness.
- 1.8

- 2.1
- MAX
- 1.8
- Thinner inverted sponge. Allround and first-upgrade backhands live here more often than attacking forehands.
- 1.9
- The usual club backhand thickness on inverted tensors. A bit more control, a bit less catapult than 2.1 / MAX.
- 2.0
- Mid-thick. Common on the backhand when MAX felt lively, or as a two-wing compromise.
- 2.1
- Still a thick attacking sponge. A small step down from MAX on some tensors — shops treat it as the other FH thickness, not a control sheet.
- MAX
- Thickest factory sponge. Most catapult on a tensor; the usual attacking forehand. Combined figures on this page are for the SKU, not a separate MAX score.
