About Pipe
Pipe uses classic (non-tensor) sponge with longer dwell and a more linear feel and a pips-out topsheet. Manufacturer sponge hardness is 35° (Classic); a cut sheet is about 41 g. Factory sponge thicknesses: 1.7, 1.9, 2.1.
On the TableTennisReview 0–100 index the Combined figures are speed 86, spin 54 and control 82 (official mapping 86 / 54 / 82). That is a mid-to-high speed short pips profile for offensive close-to-table and mid-distance topspin. Hardness, weight and thickness above are factory facts — not lab tests.
Community score 8.2 / 10 from 70 reviews. Indicative European street price €26. Compare Pipe with other Stiga Pipe and short pips rubbers on the same scale, or open the catalogue filters for OFF short pips sheets.

Factory thicknesses
Factory sponge thicknesses: 1.7, 1.9, 2.1. On pips and anti, thickness changes reversal and speed more than a one-point Combined gap.

- 1.9
- 2.1
- 1.7
- A hitting thickness on short pips. Close-to-table punch rather than a looping sponge.
- 1.9
- Short-pips mid-thick sponge. Blocks and hits; still not an inverted loop sheet.
- 2.1
- The thick short-pips option when the sheet is sold that way. Still a pips-out job.
