About Golden Tango
Golden Tango uses hybrid sponge that mixes tensor bounce with more Chinese-style grip and a tacky topsheet that grips the ball for spin-heavy loops. Manufacturer sponge hardness is 50° (Hybrid); a cut sheet is about 49 g. Factory sponge thicknesses: 1.8, 1.9, 2.0, 2.1, MAX. Sold with topsheet in Black and Red; sponge in cream.
On the TableTennisReview 0–100 index the Combined figures are speed 86, spin 94 and control 84 (official mapping 85 / 93 / 83). That is a mid-to-high speed inverted profile for offensive close-to-table and mid-distance topspin. Hardness, weight and thickness above are factory facts — not lab tests.
Community score 8.7 / 10 from 210 reviews. Indicative European street price €42. Compare Golden Tango with other JOOLA Tango and inverted rubbers on the same scale, or open the catalogue filters for OFF inverted sheets.

Factory thicknesses
Factory sponge thicknesses sold in Europe: 1.8, 1.9, 2.0, 2.1, MAX. These are shopping facts — Combined speed / spin / control on this page do not change with thickness.

- 2.1
- MAX
- 1.8
- Thinner inverted sponge. Allround and first-upgrade backhands live here more often than attacking forehands.
- 1.9
- The usual club backhand thickness on inverted tensors. A bit more control, a bit less catapult than 2.1 / MAX.
- 2.0
- Mid-thick. Common on the backhand when MAX felt lively, or as a two-wing compromise.
- 2.1
- Still a thick attacking sponge. A small step down from MAX on some tensors — shops treat it as the other FH thickness, not a control sheet.
- MAX
- Thickest factory sponge. Most catapult on a tensor; the usual attacking forehand. Combined figures on this page are for the SKU, not a separate MAX score.
