About JOOLA table tennis equipment
JOOLA started in 1952 in Landau / Siebeldingen, Germany (the name comes from the Jooss department store in Landau). In 2019 the brand was acquired by Sport Squad, Inc. in the United States, which expanded pickleball and North American distribution while keeping a table tennis factory identity in Europe.
Dynaryz AGR / ACC / CMD is the current tensor wall; Rhyzen and Tronix sit around it. Vyzaryz Freeze / Trinity fibre blades and the Hugo Calderano signature line are the woods European shops put next to Innerforce-class targets. JOOLA also still sells a large recreational table and hobby-bat business that this catalogue ignores.
On this site JOOLA is treated as a European shop brand: ITTF-approved rubbers and blades with factory specs mapped to 0–100. US hobby paddles and pickleball paddles are out of scope. Competition players comparing Dynaryz to Andro Rasanter or Tibhar Evolution belong on this page.
JOOLA is both German (origin, 1952) and American (current owner). The ITTF-approved table tennis lines listed here are the ones sold in European shops, not North American rec paddles. Hugo Calderano signature blades should still be shopped by construction and weight, not by the name alone.
History of JOOLA
JOOLA was named after the Jooss store in Landau and founded in 1952 in the Siebeldingen area of Germany. Sport Squad (USA) acquired the brand in 2019 and expanded pickleball. European table tennis shops still list Dynaryz rubbers and Vyzaryz blades as ITTF-approved competition equipment.
How JOOLA compares
JOOLA Dynaryz AGR/ACC vs Andro Rasanter vs Tibhar Evolution vs Gewo Nexxus. Vyzaryz fibre vs Innerforce / Viscaria-type. Pickleball paddles are not listed. Sport Squad ownership did not remove ITTF-approved table tennis lines from EU shops.

JOOLA FAQ
- Is JOOLA German or American?
- Both, historically. The table tennis brand was founded in Germany in 1952 and is now owned by Sport Squad (USA). Competition rubbers and blades in this catalogue are the ITTF-approved lines sold in Europe.
- Does this site review JOOLA pickleball paddles?
- No. TableTennisReview only lists table tennis rubbers and blades.
- Is JOOLA still a table tennis brand after pickleball?
- Yes. Sport Squad owns JOOLA and expanded pickleball, but ITTF-approved Dynaryz rubbers and Vyzaryz blades remain in European table tennis shops and on this catalogue. Pickleball paddles are not listed here.
- JOOLA Dynaryz AGR vs ACC vs CMD?
- They are different tunings of JOOLA’s current tensor wall (spin/speed/control emphasis). Open the product pages for hardness and the shared 0–100 index rather than shopping by letters alone.
- Where is JOOLA headquarters?
- The table tennis brand originated in Siebeldingen / Landau, Germany (1952). Sport Squad, Inc. (United States) has owned JOOLA since 2019. EU shop stock is the ITTF-approved competition line.
