About Triple Double Extra

Triple Double Extra uses pre-tensioned tensor sponge with a catapult effect and relatively low dwell and a grippy, non-tacky topsheet typical of European tensors. Manufacturer sponge hardness is 45° (Tensor); a cut sheet is about 46 g. Factory sponge thicknesses: 1.8, 1.9, 2.0, 2.1, MAX. Sold with topsheet in Black and Red; sponge in blue.

On the TableTennisReview 0–100 index the Combined figures are speed 91, spin 90 and control 82 (official mapping 90 / 89 / 82). That is a high-speed inverted profile for offensive close-to-table and mid-distance topspin. Hardness, weight and thickness above are factory facts — not lab tests.

Community score 8.5 / 10 from 120 reviews. Indicative European street price €42. Compare Triple Double Extra with other Victas Triple and inverted rubbers on the same scale, or open the catalogue filters for OFF inverted sheets.

Factory thicknesses

Factory sponge thicknesses sold in Europe: 1.8, 1.9, 2.0, 2.1, MAX. These are shopping facts — Combined speed / spin / control on this page do not change with thickness.

  • MAX
1.8
Thinner inverted sponge. Allround and first-upgrade backhands live here more often than attacking forehands.
1.9
The usual club backhand thickness on inverted tensors. A bit more control, a bit less catapult than 2.1 / MAX.
2.0
Mid-thick. Common on the backhand when MAX felt lively, or as a two-wing compromise.
2.1
Still a thick attacking sponge. A small step down from MAX on some tensors — shops treat it as the other FH thickness, not a control sheet.
MAX
Thickest factory sponge. Most catapult on a tensor; the usual attacking forehand. Combined figures on this page are for the SKU, not a separate MAX score.
