About Rhino
Dr. Neubauer Rhino is a 2020 antispin sheet with a low-friction topsheet made in Germany. It belongs to the Rhino series, is ITTF-approved (code 26-025), and is aimed at defensive (DEF) players who want defensive chopping, fishing and disruption.
Rhino uses classic (non-tensor) sponge with longer dwell and a more linear feel and a slick, low-friction topsheet. Manufacturer sponge hardness is 38° (Classic); a cut sheet is about 42 g. Factory sponge thicknesses: OX, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 1.8. Sold with topsheet in Black and Red; sponge in red.
On the TableTennisReview 0–100 index the Combined figures are speed 46, spin 26 and control 90 (official mapping 46 / 25 / 89). That is a control-first antispin profile for defensive chopping, fishing and disruption. Hardness, weight and thickness above are factory facts — not lab tests.
Community score 8.4 / 10 from 391 reviews. Indicative European street price €38. Compare Rhino with other Dr. Neubauer Rhino and antispin rubbers on the same scale, or open the catalogue filters for DEF antispin sheets.

Factory thicknesses
Factory options: OX, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 1.8. OX means no sponge. Combined figures describe this SKU; an OX sibling with its own product page is a different sheet.
- OX
- 0.5
- 1.0
- 1.5
- 1.8
- OX
- No sponge. On long pips this usually means more reversal and a deader return; on antispin it is a very dead ball. It is a different SKU from the sponged sheet when the shop lists both.
- 0.5
- A very thin sponge under pips or anti. Slightly more speed than OX, still disruption-first.
- 1.0
- Thin sponge under pips or anti — the German-shop step above OX.
- 1.5
- Thicker pips/anti sponge. More speed, less pure disruption. Not an inverted MAX.
- 1.8
- Short-pips attacking sponge, or a thick anti. Not the same job as inverted 1.8.
