About Helix Platinum XH

Stiga Helix Platinum XH is a 2026 inverted (pimples-in) sheet made in Sweden. It belongs to the Helix series, is ITTF-approved (code 68-080), and is aimed at offensive (OFF) players who want offensive close-to-table and mid-distance topspin.

Helix Platinum XH uses pre-tensioned tensor sponge with a catapult effect and relatively low dwell and a grippy, non-tacky topsheet typical of European tensors. Manufacturer sponge hardness is 50° (Tensor); a cut sheet is about 45 g. Factory sponge thicknesses: 1.8, 1.9, 2.0, 2.1, MAX. Sold with topsheet in Black and Red; sponge in orange. Helix is STIGA's later tensor family next to DNA — Platinum Helix is the named tour sheet, not a DNA rename.

On the TableTennisReview 0–100 index the Combined figures are speed 84, spin 87 and control 79 (official mapping 85 / 89 / 80). That is a mid-to-high speed inverted profile for offensive close-to-table and mid-distance topspin. Hardness, weight and thickness above are factory facts — not lab tests.

Community score 7.1 / 10 from 198 reviews. Indicative European street price €40. Compare Helix Platinum XH with other Stiga Helix and inverted rubbers on the same scale, or open the catalogue filters for OFF inverted sheets.

Factory thicknesses

Factory sponge thicknesses sold in Europe: 1.8, 1.9, 2.0, 2.1, MAX. These are shopping facts — Combined speed / spin / control on this page do not change with thickness.

  • 1.8
  • 1.9
  • 2.0
  • 2.1
  • MAX
1.8
Thinner inverted sponge. Allround and first-upgrade backhands live here more often than attacking forehands.
1.9
The usual club backhand thickness on inverted tensors. A bit more control, a bit less catapult than 2.1 / MAX.
2.0
Mid-thick. Common on the backhand when MAX felt lively, or as a two-wing compromise.
2.1
Still a thick attacking sponge. A small step down from MAX on some tensors — shops treat it as the other FH thickness, not a control sheet.
MAX
Thickest factory sponge. Most catapult on a tensor; the usual attacking forehand. Combined figures on this page are for the SKU, not a separate MAX score.
