About Vega Intro
Vega Intro uses pre-tensioned tensor sponge with a catapult effect and relatively low dwell and a grippy, non-tacky topsheet typical of European tensors. Manufacturer sponge hardness is 37.5° (Tensor); a cut sheet is about 43 g. Factory sponge thicknesses: 1.8, 1.9, 2.0, 2.1, MAX. Sold with topsheet in Black and Red; sponge in cream. Vega is Xiom's volume tensor series (Europe, Asia, Tour, Japan, Elite, Pro, China) at mid-European street prices.
On the TableTennisReview 0–100 index the Combined figures are speed 76, spin 80 and control 92 (official mapping 75 / 79 / 91). That is a control-first inverted profile for active allround play with an offensive bias. Hardness, weight and thickness above are factory facts — not lab tests.
Community score 8.7 / 10 from 640 reviews. Indicative European street price €25. Compare Vega Intro with other Xiom Vega and inverted rubbers on the same scale, or open the catalogue filters for ALL+ inverted sheets.

Factory thicknesses
Factory sponge thicknesses sold in Europe: 1.8, 1.9, 2.0, 2.1, MAX. These are shopping facts — Combined speed / spin / control on this page do not change with thickness.

- MAX
- 1.8
- Thinner inverted sponge. Allround and first-upgrade backhands live here more often than attacking forehands.
- 1.9
- The usual club backhand thickness on inverted tensors. A bit more control, a bit less catapult than 2.1 / MAX.
- 2.0
- Mid-thick. Common on the backhand when MAX felt lively, or as a two-wing compromise.
- 2.1
- Still a thick attacking sponge. A small step down from MAX on some tensors — shops treat it as the other FH thickness, not a control sheet.
- MAX
- Thickest factory sponge. Most catapult on a tensor; the usual attacking forehand. Combined figures on this page are for the SKU, not a separate MAX score.
