About Rakza 9
Rakza 9 (Combined speed 93, spin 90, control 78, 50°) is faster and harder than Rakza 7. Z and X sit further toward the hard/fast end of the same family.
If 7 already feels solid, stay there. If you bottom it out on strong loops, 9 is the in-family step before you pay for Tenergy 05 or Fastarc G-1.
Yasaka Mark V remains the classic non-tensor if you wanted less catapult, not more.

Factory thicknesses
Factory sponge thicknesses sold in Europe: 1.8, 1.9, 2.0, 2.1, MAX. These are shopping facts — Combined speed / spin / control on this page do not change with thickness.

- MAX
- 1.8
- Thinner inverted sponge. Allround and first-upgrade backhands live here more often than attacking forehands.
- 1.9
- The usual club backhand thickness on inverted tensors. A bit more control, a bit less catapult than 2.1 / MAX.
- 2.0
- Mid-thick. Common on the backhand when MAX felt lively, or as a two-wing compromise.
- 2.1
- Still a thick attacking sponge. A small step down from MAX on some tensors — shops treat it as the other FH thickness, not a control sheet.
- MAX
- Thickest factory sponge. Most catapult on a tensor; the usual attacking forehand. Combined figures on this page are for the SKU, not a separate MAX score.
