About Kamikaze Long Green Grass

Der Materialspezialist Kamikaze Long Green Grass is a 2024 long-pips-out sheet for chopping, reversal and disruption made in Germany. It belongs to the Kamikaze series, is ITTF-approved, and is aimed at defensive (DEF) players who want defensive chopping, fishing and disruption.

Kamikaze Long Green Grass uses classic (non-tensor) sponge with longer dwell and a more linear feel and a pips-out topsheet. Manufacturer sponge hardness is 42° (Classic); a cut sheet is about 40 g. Factory sponge thicknesses: OX, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0. An OX (no-sponge) version is also listed. Sold with topsheet in Black and Red; sponge in black.

On the TableTennisReview 0–100 index the Combined figures are speed 48, spin 99 and control 93 (official mapping 48 / 99 / 93). That is a control-first long pips profile for defensive chopping, fishing and disruption. Hardness, weight and thickness above are factory facts — not lab tests.

Community score 8.4 / 10 from 12 reviews. Indicative European street price €40. Compare Kamikaze Long Green Grass with other Der Materialspezialist Kamikaze and long pips rubbers on the same scale, or open the catalogue filters for DEF long pips sheets.

Factory thicknesses

Factory options: OX, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0. OX means no sponge. Combined figures describe this SKU; an OX sibling with its own product page is a different sheet.

OX: No sponge. On long pips this usually means more reversal and a deader return; on antispin it is a very dead ball. It is a different SKU from the sponged sheet when the shop lists both.
1.0: Thin sponge under pips or anti — the German-shop step above OX.
1.5: Thicker pips/anti sponge. More speed, less pure disruption. Not an inverted MAX.
2.0: Thick short-pips sponge. More speed on a hit, less of the classic short-pip deadness.
