About Hexer Pips 44

Andro Hexer Pips 44 is a 2018 short-pips-out sheet for hitting, blocking and fast counters made in Germany. It belongs to the Hexer series, is ITTF-approved (code 03-028), and is aimed at offensive (OFF) players who want offensive close-to-table and mid-distance topspin.

Hexer Pips 44 uses classic (non-tensor) sponge with longer dwell and a more linear feel and a pips-out topsheet. Manufacturer sponge hardness is 44° (Classic); a cut sheet is about 42 g. Factory sponge thicknesses: OX, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 1.8. Sold with topsheet in Black and Red; sponge in yellow. Hexer is Andro's grip-oriented tensor family (Grip, Powergrip, HD, Duro) from before Rasanter.

On the TableTennisReview 0–100 index the Combined figures are speed 86, spin 58 and control 78 (official mapping 88 / 59 / 79). That is a mid-to-high speed short pips profile for offensive close-to-table and mid-distance topspin. Hardness, weight and thickness above are factory facts — not lab tests.

Community score 7.1 / 10 from 324 reviews. Indicative European street price €36. Compare Hexer Pips 44 with other Andro Hexer and short pips rubbers on the same scale, or open the catalogue filters for OFF short pips sheets.

Factory thicknesses

Factory options: OX, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 1.8. OX means no sponge. Combined figures describe this SKU; an OX sibling with its own product page is a different sheet.

OX
No sponge. On long pips this usually means more reversal and a deader return; on antispin it is a very dead ball. It is a different SKU from the sponged sheet when the shop lists both.
0.5
A very thin sponge under pips or anti. Slightly more speed than OX, still disruption-first.
1.0
Thin sponge under pips or anti — the German-shop step above OX.
1.5
Thicker pips/anti sponge. More speed, less pure disruption. Not an inverted MAX.
1.8
Short-pips attacking sponge, or a thick anti. Not the same job as inverted 1.8.
